Microsoft Surface Laptop hits $300 off for Prime event
Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days slashes the 2026 Surface Laptop to $1,399.99, a new low, alongside monitor deals from Samsung and others.
Amazon's fall Prime Big Deal Days sale, running through early Oct. 8, includes a $300 discount on Microsoft's 2026 Surface Laptop, bringing it to $1,399.99, Popular Science reports. That's the lowest price Amazon has tracked for the 13.8-inch model in four months.
The Surface Pro 11th Edition is $1,649.99, within 99 cents of its own Amazon low from August.
Laptop specs
The Surface Laptop packs a 13.8-inch display, Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, 16GB of memory and a 512GB solid-state drive. Popular Science notes that Snapdragon machines run the Arm version of Windows 11, so owners should confirm older software is compatible.
The Surface Pro pairs a 13-inch OLED screen with the same processor, plus 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage.
Monitor deals without Prime
Samsung's 27-inch Odyssey OLED G6 gaming monitor is $384.99, $215 under list and the lowest Amazon has charged in seven months, Popular Science reports. No Prime membership is required. The panel uses QD-OLED technology for deep black levels, with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440) and a 240Hz refresh rate.
Samsung's 32-inch Odyssey G55C, a curved QHD monitor, matches its June low at $189.99, Popular Science says. It features a 1000R curve that wraps the edges toward the viewer at desk distance.
Other 27-inch monitors from Dell, AOC, MSI and ViewSonic are at or under their previous Amazon lows, according to Popular Science.
Open deals and timing
Apple's MacBook Air M5 (13-inch, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage) is $1,099 without a Prime membership, and the iPad mini with A17 Pro chip is $499, Popular Science reports.
Most laptop, tablet and desktop deals that started Oct. 6 require a Prime membership, Popular Science notes, while the MacBook Air, iPad mini and Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 do not. A free 30-day Prime trial covers the sale.
Prime Big Deal Days ends at 2:59 a.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 8. Popular Science cautions that deal end dates for specific items, including the Surface Laptop, weren't listed when checked, so buyers should verify before purchasing.
Other hardware
The Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition at $999.99 matches its Amazon low, Popular Science reports. The Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 and ASUS Vivobook 17 are each $60 under their previous lows.
HP's OmniStudio 27-inch all-in-one with a Ryzen AI 7 processor is $999.99, a $290 discount from its previous Amazon low, and iBUYPOWER's Element gaming PC matches its August low, Popular Science says.
